Loxley Trading Co has expanded its product line after winning the right to sell Lee Kum Kee, China's legendary brand of sauces and seasoning products.
Suroj Lamsam, chief executive and president of Loxley Plc, and Mr Leslie Lau, managing director for South Asia of Lee Kum Kee (Malaysia) Co, signed a contract to appoint Loxley Trading as the distributor of sauces and seasoning products under the Lee Kum Kee brand in Thailand.
Loxley Trading will be in charge of marketing and distributing Lee Kum Kee products via both traditional trade and modern trade in the Thai market.
Mr Suroj stressed that Loxley Trading's strengths lie in its strong network of retailers across Thailand. As the firm can quickly and comprehensively distribute products, it responds well to the needs of Lee Kum Kee, which not only aims to expand its business but also recognises Thailand's potential.
"Loxley Trading recently entered into a contract to be a distributor of oral-care products made by Jordan, a major Norwegian brand. Now we have also signed a contract with China's legendary Lee Kum Kee brand, we are confident Loxley Trading will definitely record sales growth this year," Mr Suroj said.
The four types of Lee Kum Kee products -- oyster sauce, light soy sauce, sesame sauce and dipping sauces -- will be available in the Thai market via retail shops, online platforms as well as modern-trade outlets such as leading department stores, hypermarkets, supermarkets and convenience stores across Thailand.
The Lee Kum Kee brand, which is over 134 years old, has manufactured more than 200 different types of sauces and seasoning products. These products are available in more than 100 countries across five continents. The company's most famous product is its original oyster sauce, which was invented by Lee Lum Kee in 1888.
