No-frills carrier Thai AirAsia (TAA) will launch a third daily flight on its Bangkok-Hong Kong route on April 30 in response to strong passenger demand.

Chief executive Tassapon Bijleveld said the route is popular and the airline is keen to increase its frequency as incremental aircraft capacity is available.
The new flight, FD2504, will depart Don Mueang airport at 3.40pm and arrive in Hong Kong at 7.25pm, while flight FD2505 will leave the former British colony at 7.55pm and touch down in Don Mueang at 9.45pm.
Meanwhile, Tiger Airways said it will ramp up flight frequency between Singapore and Bangkok, one of its busiest routes, from 42 to 45 a week in May.
Singapore-Bangkok is among nine regional routes on which the Singaporean budget carrier will boost flights between May and July.
From May, the airline will raise its frequencies from Singapore to Ho Chi Minh City from 20 to 21 flights a week, to Macau from 12 to 14 flights and to Bangalore from five to seven flights.
Starting in June, it will operate 14 flights weekly to Penang (11 now), 11 flights to Taipei (nine now) and 10 flights to Phnom Penh (seven now).
From July, Tiger will operate 11 flights to Perth (nine now) and five flights to Kochi (four now).
