Thai business heirs from Ch. Karnchang Plc (CK) and Charoen Pokphand (CP) Group are very keen on their ambitious goals this year, they revealed at the Forbes Thailand Forum 2018.

Supamas Trivisvavet, CK's chief executive, said Thursday her business goal is to achieve group revenue of US$1.5 billion [49.7 billion baht] in the near future, up from $1 billion now.

Ms Supamas is a daughter of Plew Trivisvavet, CK's chairman.

She said CK has witnessed many accelerated megaprojects that will contribute to CK's revenue in the short term, while the fundamentals of the Thai economy remain strong.

"CK expects to hit the revenue target of $1.5 billion by 2023. The company has plenty of backlog and aims to bid on more new infrastructure projects, both local and overseas," said Ms Supamas.

SET-listed CK is focusing on the construction business as it believes this sector still has potential to foster sustainable growth in the long run.

It is Thailand's second-largest construction company and is a family business established over 40 years.

"As CK's leader, I have lots of pressure to make strategic decisions. Though I am not an engineer, I can rely on my father who always supports me with his advice and experience," she said.

Tanyatip Chearavanont, chief executive and founder of One.Six Development, said her company is just a startup, established a few years ago.

She is the 27-year-old only daughter of CP Group chairman Soopakij Chearavanont, heir of the largest fortune in Southeast Asia.

"My company is focusing on luxury condominiums in Thailand and my outlook is I still believe the real estate sector has high potential because the country has a dynamic property market," said Ms Tanyatip.

"The company is working on its first project, the Strand, located in Thong Lor, which has high purchasing power."

She said the new project is undergoing a feasibility study.

Ms Tanyatip said One.Six does not focus on earning revenue because its focus is building high-quality condos to serve customers.

She is the third generation of the Chearavanont family and said her family is very important to her life, supporting her with business advice.

"I had a lot of pressure when I started my company, but my family members helped me quite a bit," said Ms Tanyatip.
