A new mobile app called zuki offers a full-scale digital lending service.
Pairote Cheunkrut, Krungsri's chief strategy officer, said the bank is pleased SB Finance, a joint venture between Krungsri and SBC, introduced a new mobile app platform with digital lending service as a key feature.
"This makes it easier, faster and more convenient for customers to access our various financial products as we move to expand the customer base and build customer engagement via superior financial experience through digital channels," Mr Pairote said.
He said Krungsri continues to build robust connectivity in Asean to benefit customers.
"Last year SB Finance focused on building brand awareness through a series of communication campaigns and launching flagship products such as personal loans and Car4Cash," said Mr Pairote. "We also leveraged our expertise in products and marketing to fully support SB Finance in developing products that meet customers' needs and behaviour in the Philippines. These products have been well received, resulting in outstanding loans of 4.3 billion baht at the end of 2021."
Abbie Casanova, president and chief executive of SB Finance, agreed with Mr Pairote.
"Our vision at SB Finance is to be the trusted and preferred financial partner for Filipinos, empowering them to make financial decisions to meet their needs," she said. "Part of that vision is to deliver a customer-centric digital journey through our newly launched mobile app zuki."
Through zuki, SB Finance aims to improve customers' financial literacy and help them transition from a complicated financial service roadmap to an easy-to-understand, needs-based, digital consumer experience, said Ms Casanova.
The app allows Filipinos to access SB Finance's offerings, including the newly launched Hoologan and MotorsikLOAN products, Car4Cash and personal loans.
