Ms Saruntorn, fifth from left, says the company is about to sign an agreement with international conglomerates to reinforce the company's global presence.

Siam Piwat Co, the operator of Siam Center, Siam Discovery and Siam Paragon, is teaming up with two new retail partners from China and South Korea, with the aim of enticing affluent customers from both partners to shop at Siam Piwat's retail complexes by the end of this year.

According to Saruntorn Asaves, first executive vice-president and division head of the shopping centre business, the company is poised to sign an agreement with Fosun Group, a Chinese conglomerate that operates shopping complexes, tourism and health service businesses, and a world-renowned fashion brand.

Discussions are also underway with Hyundai Department Store in South Korea to reinforce the company's global presence.

Ms Saruntorn said in a strategic move to bolster its global ecosystem, Siam Piwat is working on collaborations with prestigious retail giants in some of the countries in Europe most visited by Thai people and the US. These collaborations are aimed at creating a future global privilege programme, further enhancing the benefits available to Viz members through the ONESIAM super-app.

"We have already talked with partners in the United Arab Emirates about the global privilege collaboration because Siam Paragon is one of its shopping destinations in Thailand," she said, adding that the primary objective of these global privilege initiatives is to drive growth and set Siam Piwat apart from other retail operators.

Siam Piwat has forged collaborations with world-class retail giants from some of the world's most visited countries and overseas partners since 2014. Seven world-class partners that Siam Piwat has already worked with to create global privilege partnerships include Parco in Japan; Taipei 101 in Taiwan; Times Square in Hong Kong; ION Orchard in Singapore; Pavilion Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia and Plaza Indonesia in Indonesia.

These partnerships have expanded the global network by an additional four million shoppers, enabling Siam Piwat to attract members from these partners and offer the benefits of the ONESIAM super-app, which serves as a crucial catalyst for exponential growth and a gateway to all of the group's shopping centres.

This not only elevates the creation of experiences and customer services but also actively supports the business interests of retailers and partners spanning various industries within the company's extensive global ecosystem.
