Overseas markets drive Dexon's revenue growth

Dexon Technology, a Thai pipeline inspection company, expects its total revenue to grow by 8.5% year-on-year to 704 million baht this year, thanks to a stronger performance driven by services provided in overseas markets.

Last year the company raked in 674 million baht in total revenue.

Chief executive Mallika Kaekla said she was confident the company will meet its target of 704 million baht, having already secured service agreements valued at 620 million for this year, which leaves a balance of 84 million.

"That should not be too difficult. We have confidence in our capabilities," Ms Mallika told the Bangkok Post.

"Perhaps we can even surpass our goal."

Roughly 53% of pipeline inspection services are provided to companies in the domestic market, with foreign customers accounting for 47%.

More than half of inspection work abroad is in North and South America, she said.

From January to June, Dexon Technology posted total revenue of 337 million baht, an increase of 24.1% from the corresponding period last year, while net profit tallied 16 million baht, a year-on-year increase of 188%.

Inspection work in the US and Europe played a key role in driving the revenue, said Ms Mallika.

The company's revenue, both domestic and international, typically increases in the second half, aligning with scheduled shutdowns in the energy, infrastructure and industrial sectors for repair and maintenance.

Energy demand and infrastructure development projects usually peak during the hot season and high season for tourism.

Companies often increase infrastructure activities and prepare for surges in power demand during this time, then scale back operations during the rainy season.

"We are fully committed to driving growth in both domestic and international markets, creating key partnerships and expanding into adjacent businesses that will be pivotal milestones in our ongoing development" said Ms Mallika.
