British pop-soul singer/songwriter Sam Smith will give a Bangkok debut concert at Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani, on Oct 28 at 8pm.
This is the first time for Thai fans to experience the magnificent voice of the 26-year-old artist who rose to fame in 2012 when he was featured on Disclosure's breakthrough single Latch. He was then featured on Naughty Boy's La La La which shot to No.1 on the UK charts.
His widely acclaimed chart-topping debut album, In The Lonely Hour, was released in 2014 and won the Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album. It includes many hit singles -- Stay With Me, I'm Not The Only One, Money On My Mind and Like I Can.
Released last November, his second album, The Thrill Of It All, debuted atop the UK Albums Chart and the US Billboard 200. The lead single, Too Good At Goodbyes, peaked at No.1 in the UK and Australia and No.4 in the US.
Smith co-wrote and sang Writings On The Wall, the theme song for the James Bond movie Spectre. It won an Oscar and Golden Globe for Best Original Song and was the first Bond movie theme to reach No.1 on the UK singles chart.
Smith won many international awards, including four Grammys, three Billboard Music Awards and three Brit Awards.
The Bangkok show is part of his "The Thrill Of It All Tour", which started in March and will conclude in November. It includes nearly 90 shows in Europe, North America, Asia, New Zealand and Australia.
