For the first time in Thailand, fans of J.K. Rowling's wizarding world will get to experience a symphony orchestra performing the entire score from Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone, the first movie in the series.
At the event, "Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone In Concert", which is organised by Alcopop Group, audiences will get to relive the magic of the film in high-definition on a 40-foot screen while the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra performs John Williams' classic score.
The event is part of the Harry Potter Film Concert Series, a global concert tour celebrating the Harry Potter films, with more than 900 performances in 48 countries. The project was launched by CineConcerts, a leading producer of live music performed with visual media, and Warner Bros. Consumer Products Company in 2016.
Since the world premiere of "Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone In Concert" in June of that year, more than 1.3 million fans have flocked to enjoy this magical experience.
"The Harry Potter film series is a once-in-a-lifetime cultural phenomenon that continues to delight millions of fans around the world," said Justin Freer, president of CineConcerts, and producer and conductor of the Harry Potter Film Concert Series.
"It is with great pleasure that we [give] fans, for the first time ever, an opportunity to experience the award-winning music scores played live by a symphony orchestra, all while the beloved film is simultaneously projected onto the big screen. This is truly an unforgettable event," he added.
The concert will be performed on Nov 23-24 at Prince Mahidol Hall in Mahidol University, Salaya, Nakhon Pathom province.
Tickets are between 900 baht and 4,000 baht. Presale tickets will be available on Sept 20, with public sale starts on Sept 21 at thaiticketmajor.com/concert/harry-potter-2019.
