After fascinating art toy enthusiasts in Bangkok last year, the "Hong Kong Art Toy Story" returns to Thailand Toy Expo 2024, which will kick off tomorrow and run daily from 10am to 10pm until Sunday at CentralWorld, Ratchadamri Road.
Running in Hong Kong Pavilion, located in the Dazzle Zone on the 1st floor, this year's exhibition will showcase a diverse selection of more than 300 original art toys by 20 artists, designers and creators from Hong Kong who will offer a unique experience to art toy collectors and enthusiasts in Thailand and Asean.
Expect to see the comeback of three established designers -- Winson Ma, Ryan Lee and Rainbo -- who will again impress fans with their new art toy collections.
Ma will come with the MacZkong monster inspired by the iconic movie King Kong; Zom b, a fusion between Lucky Cat and a hamburger; and Lucky Zom, a 1.5m-tall figure symbolising fortune.
Exclusively for this event, Ryan has created the 1.5m-tall FatDragon and a glowing version of Oby designed in collaboration with a Japanese artist.
Rainbo, meanwhile, will introduce three new figures that will make their debut at this show. They are Azure Dragon, Purple Kid and Morning Leopard, all inspired by Hong Kong kung fu movies.
Some of the 17 emerging designers who will showcase their amazing art toys in the pavilion for the first time include Aaron Lau, Cheng Kiki, Gilbert Yam, Joseph Tang, Kin Leung, Leo Pak, Mickey Mic, Sunny Tam and Tony Leung.
The four-day exhibition will also be packed with activities and visitors will have the opportunity to rub shoulders with their favourite art toy creators, exchange views, witness a painting demonstration and enjoy an exciting battle between artists and fans.
