Sala Sudasiri Sobha is holding "Nat Yontararak Day", a special charity concert to help restore music education at Rak Piano School in Chiang Rai which was devastated by severe flooding and lost precious instruments.

Scheduled for Sunday at 4pm, this heartfelt event will also celebrate the 70th birthday of Prof Nat Yontararak, a pianist, composer and teacher honoured with the Silpathorn Award, as well as founder of Nat Studio and Sala Sudasiri Sobha concert hall. The evening will take guests on a nostalgic journey, reminiscent of Nat Studio's monthly House Concerts. The programme features a wide range of music, from short, fun and easy-to-listen-to pieces of three minutes to longer compositions of up to 10 minutes.

All the pieces are composed or arranged by Nat and will be performed by his accomplished former students -- Dr Piyapon Vongvongepop, Chanyapong Thongsawang, Kant Lormsomboon, Wanchana Sompakdee, Pinnaree Teeramakorn, Teeranai Jirasirikul, Asayuch Chamroon and Peerapong Surawan. Also joining will be his three children -- Pana Yontararak, Paranee Yontararak and Pinnaree Yontararak Kurzydlo. Set to perform a special piece will be special guest Andrew Healey, a dedicated fan and cellist.

Tickets cost 1,000, 1,800 and 2,500 baht (500 baht for students), including a reception after the show. Sala Sudasiri Sobha is on Lat Phrao 41 yaek 7-2.
