1 Thong Lor's 72 Courtyard has a ton of Mother's Day promotions this weekend, starting with the newly opened Carb and Wine Bar. Serving pizza, pasta and charcuterie boards, the restaurant is offering a special "Free Pizzas For Mamas" promotion, about which more information can be had if you call 02-392-6922. Then there's Japanese comfort food Lucky Fish, offering mothers 30% off on all menu items, as well as a free glass of cold-pressed juice for all you mothers out there. Mexican eatery Touche Hombre has a special 1,000 baht Mother's Day menu as well, consisting of Chips and Salsa Roja Mexicana, Soft Shell Crab Cangrejo, Grilled Chicken del Habanero or Roasted Pork Belly Al Pastor Tacos, and Roasted Kingfish Collar, as well as a complimentary ice-cream sandwich to boot. Last but not least, tapas bar Toro Bangkok has a 1,000 baht menu, from which mothers can select five of their favourite hot and cold tapas to enjoy. 3 Those who aren't into Mother's Day celebrations could head over to the Westin Grande Sukhumvit tonight to watch Australian comedy superstar Greg Fleet deliver some fresh, dark and hilarious punchlines. Considered one of Australia's most highly respected stand-up comedians, Fleet has had 5-star reviews from around the world, and has created and starred in Netflix shows with fellow Australian stand-up comedic Jim Jeffries. The show starts at 8pm tonight and tickets cost 900 baht at the door. The 1,200 baht VIP tickets include the best seats, free-flow drinks, and a meet-and-greet with Fleet.

4 Planning a trip to Singapore this month? The 11th edition of the Singapore Night Festival will take place from Aug 17-25, consisting of a line-up of jaw-dropping and provocative performances and installations for festivalgoers. There will be 16 mesmerising light installations by both local and international artists placed in unique pockets and spaces around Singapore's Bugis precinct -- the art and heritage district of the country. And from Aug 23-25, visitors will get to witness a display of 27 performances from across genres and art disciplines, presented alongside vast F&B and artisan craft offerings. 5 Standing out from the sea of rock and pop concerts this year is the exciting announcement of the Khalid American Dream Tour coming to Bangkok on Oct 31. Khalid, a 20 year-old Grammy-nominated R&B artist known for his megahit Young Dumb & Broke is universally regarded as a prodigy of contemporary R&B. He started his career by posting music online, where his 2016 debut single Location got more than 500 million streams and 290 million views on YouTube. His debut album American Teen was conceptualised when he was barely out of high school -- and is now fluctuating within the top five spots of the Billboard chart.
