The long-awaited "Ploenchit Fair 2018" will return with a lot of fun in the gardens at the British embassy, Witthayu Road, on Saturday Nov 24 from 10am to 8pm.
This is the first and also last year that the annual fund-raising blockbuster event will be held at its original home at the embassy after an absence of some 17 years as the embassy is going to be relocated.
Children will have fun riding paddle boats, playing water rollerball and at a shooting gallery, riding a miniature train and bungy jumping as well many other attractions. Father Christmas will make his usual visit as well as local star Clown Eckie.
Mothers will enjoy shopping at the Petticoat Lane stalls featuring some 40 outlets and a variety of different products perfect as Christmas gifts and needs. Central Tops will be joined by Tesco, which will have its Finest range available including wines, and Boots will come with their tempting toiletries and cosmetics.
There will be a Grand Raffle organised by the British Chamber of Commerce offering some 30 top prizes plus including flights to London with accommodation and weekends away by many five-star hotel resorts.
To make it a perfect outing for the entire family, the fair will be catered for all with first-class food, exciting cocktails from the Londoner Pub and various beers and wines throughout as well as afternoon stage and musical entertainment.
The Ploenchit Fair is the biggest and longest-running fair in Asia and since its inception in 1957 has enabled the British Community In Thailand For The Needy to donate well over 200 million baht to various projects throughout the country.
Entry fee is 500 baht (free for children under 12 years). Places are limited.
