The Market Surf Skate Society, the newest indoor surf skating rink in the heart of Bangkok, is now open for full service daily from 10am to 8.30pm, until May 15 next year, free of charge.
Located at the M Hall, M floor of The Market Bangkok in Ratchaprasong, the 600m² rink comes with a colourful and chic design and features a full range of field layouts.
They include "Pump Track" where surf skaters can battle at the connected waves and thrilling curves that help deliver endless fun; "Slalom Track" which is perfect for freestyle slaloming; and "Wave Bank" where players will power up with the longest wave bank in Bangkok.
There are many corners available for all to take photos and invite friends to join and have fun skating together.
Interested skate surfers are also invited to join "The Market Surf Skate Competition 2021" to vie for prizes worth more than 300,000 baht. The qualifier round will take place on Friday and the final round on Saturday.
The competition has three categories. "Wave Bank" is open to men and women (judging by a jury) while both "Slalom" and "Pump Track" are open to men, women and also youths under 12 years old (judged on speed).
The application fee is 199 baht including a T-shirt. Applications should be made via shorturl.asia/1lRbL by today.
Famous surf skaters Pete Thongjue and family, and Pichaya "Golf" Nitipaisalkul will show up on both days and there will be many activities presented by NYLA including the "NYLA Warehouse Sale" which will offer special prices on a wide range of products.
Items include surfskates, skateboards and longboards, and outfits from such brands as Volcom, Dickies, Paul Frank and also NYLA.
