Women in their 40s go through significant changes. Along with welcome advancements in their careers and enriched personal lives, some less-than-agreeable physical changes occur that adversely affect a woman's skin. Most notably, wrinkles and other signs of ageing become more pronounced.
Representing the 40-something woman, Suquan Bulakul is the face of Eucerin's campaign for the launch of Hyaluron [HD] Radiance-Lift Filler 3D Serum and Hyaluron-Filler + Elasticity Night Cream.
"Managing my mature skin has become more challenging. What used to work before doesn't work any more, or skincare just becomes more complicated for women over 40," said the actress and former newscaster.
Eucerin developed the new serum to counteract the decline in hyaluronic acid, collagen and elastin that are main components of the connective tissue surrounding skin cells.
Hyaluronic acid is a powerful humectant that attracts water to the skin and helps retain moisture, which if lost makes skin dryer and less effective as a protective barrier.
Eucerin's cosmeceutical formula features a combination of high molecular hyaluronic acid that improves hydration in the skin's outer layers and low molecular hyaluronic acid that is 40 times smaller, allowing it to go deeper and work on etched wrinkles.
Arctiin is a potent antioxidant from an extract of the fruit of Arctium lappa, or greater burdock, which is used in herbal medicine. In Eucerin's formula, it addresses loss of elasticity while the patented Thiamidol is clinically proven as treatment for dark spots.
"I choose skincare products very carefully, and pay attention to the active ingredients and look at the research behind the products," said Suquan.
Eucerin conducts product testing in Germany. The new serum, however, along with complementing day and night creams, were also locally tested by 45 participants aged 49 to 50. They followed the brand's anti-ageing skincare regimen for eight weeks, reporting satisfaction and a significant improvement in their skin condition.
