Today (Sept 7) is the last day art enthusiasts can catch a glimpse of the Russia-Ukraine war through exhibitions "Culture vs War" and "Ukraine Through The Eyes Of A Thai Journalist" which are on view at Palette Artspace, BTS Thong Lo, until 8pm.
At the exhibitions, visitors will see photographs taken in Ukraine over the past year-and-a-half. These photos vividly show how the lives of the Ukrainian people have changed during the war with Russia. Supported by the Ukrainian Diplomatic Spouses Association, the art event was organised by the Ukrainian community in Thailand to mark Ukraine's independence day on Aug 24.
Culture vs War
Photos by Konstiantyn and Vlada Liberov -- famous Ukrainian photographers and documentarians -- reveal the true face of war and destruction by Russia.
Ukraine Through The Eyes Of A Thai Journalist
Photos by Karuna Buakamsri, a renowned Thai journalist and television host, the first to travel to Ukraine under war earlier this year.
At the opening of the exhibition late last month, a short film from the "Culture vs War" project was also screened, directed by Kadim Tarasov.
The "Culture vs War" project was created by the Association of Cinema Promotion and Assistance in Ukraine -- Watch Ukrainian!, with support from the European Union (EU) Delegation in Ukraine, HP-Gromadi Foundation and Vavilon Company. The exhibition is supported by Palette Artspace, Vitalit Gems and Wall Paint Decor.
Admission is free. No prior registration is required.
