A selection of world-class gourmet food and ingredients from leading global brands are presented during "Tops World Class Gourmet By Gourmet One", which is running at Tops Food Hall at Central Bangna, Bang Na-Trat Road, until Aug 6.
Especially curated for gourmets and food enthusiasts, the festival features special prices and promotions on premium products and ingredients from leading food-producing countries.
Meat lovers can browse through a wide variety of premium meats including wagyu beef from Darling Downs, a renowned Australian brand, featuring their signature MB 6-7 marbled beef; Mayura, a purebred Japanese wagyu beef known for its unique characteristics as the cattle are fed on chocolate in Australia; USDA-certified Black Angus beef; premium Ambassador lamb from Australia; as well as Iberico pork from Spain.
Other gourmet ingredients suitable for home cooking include premium greenshell mussels from New Zealand; De Cecco, Italy's high-quality pasta preferred by chefs worldwide; oysters from Les Parcs Saint Kerber farm in Brittany; President butter and cheese from France; black summer truffle from Italy's Alba region; and fresh, sweet and crisp cherries from Zaragoza, a leading producer in Spain.
From Friday to Sunday, witness a cooking demonstration by Itthichad Pibulnakarintr, aka chef Aom (Le Grand Diplôme from Le Cordon Bleu). He will showcase his cooking skills and share tips on selecting and preparing world-class ingredients featured at the event for delicious meals at home.
This is a chance for shoppers to try many recipes including New Zealand mussels in white wine sauce and grilled Mayura wagyu beef in red wine chocolate sauce.
A special dish available at the event is sai au, or northern-style pork sausage, cooked by chef Norbert Kostner, former executive chef at the Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok. His recipe is famous for retaining the authentic flavours and ingredients of garlic, herbs, chilli peppers and curry paste.
