Dusit Thani College presents authentic Japanese cooking classes open to the public from January to May next year.

Learn the art of Japanese cuisine

Held in collaboration with Tsuji Culinary Institute of Osaka, the largest professional culinary school in Japan, the professional courses aim to share methods of preparing original and traditional dishes, as well as the senses of real Japanese cuisine.

Participants will experience cooking demonstrations and practise making authentic Japanese dishes.

Besides taking a journey into the heart of great Japanese culinary traditions, they will also learn cooking techniques such as slicing, grilling, simmering and steaming, using a wide range of foods, including noodles and sushi.

The courses have been designed by professional chefs from the Tsuji Culinary Institute, Haruaki Matsuoka and Kazuya Nishio, and are available as two and three-day courses of basic, advanced and speciality types. All courses will be conducted in Japanese with Thai translation from 9am to 4pm. The fee is 35,000-39,000 baht for a three-day basic course and 42,000-52,000 baht for a three-day advanced course. The fee for the the two-day speciality courses ranges from 25,000-35,000 baht depending on the recipes, which include udon and tempura, soba and tempura, ramen and dumplings, donburi and eel, sushi and variety of sun bream, donburi and Japanese desserts, eel and Japanese desserts, and sushi and Japanese desserts. There is a discount for participants who enroll in a minimum of three courses.
