The biggest surprise of Gucci's autumn/winter 2015-2016 collection is that Alessandro Michele almost dumped high-heels in the accessories line-up. There is a black laced-up pair tied with a playful pom-pom, but the footwear is mostly flats, some with sprouting fur.
As the material is kangaroo fur, they are comfortable bouncy shoes for the cold season. The furry feet extends to men, who have their own versions of funky clogs and open back loafers.
Jaunty berets, on the other hand, lends French chic to the season's look, also defined by neck scarves and grosgrain ribbons tied at the neck. Fastened to the scarf are big fabric brooches with floral designs that also adorn the neckline.
The men's looks also feature scarves tied into a bow and dainty ribbons. The waistline is accessorised by a GG buckle belt — the only one in the collection.
Messenger and ladies' handbags boast a tiger head spur as an ornamental touch. The tiger encounters a big bee in one of the ladies' GG supreme canvas bags. While bees have been a part of the Gucci archive, this is a new bee buzz that features on embroideries and brooches in Michele's debuting women's collection.
