True Corporation unveiled its 20-billion-baht Digital Park project yesterday, helping to drive the creation of a digital hub in the country.
The planned 200,000-square-metre facility also aims to foster the development of the country's digital economy, with support for digital innovations and tech startups , said Suphachai Chearavanont, True's president and chief executive.
Located on Sukhumvit Soi 101, the digital park is under construction and is expected to be commercially launched in mid-2018.
Magnolia Quality Development Corporation, the property arm of agribusiness conglomerate CP Group, is the 20-billion-baht sponsor for the park.
CP Group is the parent firm of True. True will manage and operate the Digital Park project.
Mr Suphachai said True will invest 1.5 billion baht in building a digital infrastructure system for the project. True will ask the government to provide special tax incentives to foreign investors setting up offices at the park, he said.
