To expand its product family line, FitBit last week introduced FitBit Aria Air, a low-cost Bluetooth scale that is able to track your weight and sync with the FitBit app to calculate users' body mass index (BMI) and other health data.
Apart from BMI calculation, the scale gives a comprehensive view of users' trends over time alongside their activity, heart rate, sleep and nutrition data within the FitBit app. Through the app, users can also log their nutrition, use calorie coaching to see how many calories they are burning versus consuming in real-time, and compare their food consumption and exercise against weight trends to stay on track -- all on one dashboard.
The Aria Air also supports various features including an option to create a plan to set a healthy weight goal in the FitBit app or to integrate with FitBit's new paid membership, featuring personalised insights and guided programmes, including a two-week programme to help users understand the importance of keeping an appropriate calorie range for the weight goal.
Other features include syncing weight data with partner apps as well as a social support where users can access the Community section of the FitBit app to stay connected with friends, family and fellow FitBit users for advice, tips and motivation.
FitBit Aria Air will be available worldwide starting next month. In Thailand, the scale will be available at B2S, Central Department Store, Dotlife, Jaymart, King Power, Lazada, Power Buy, Robinson Department Store and The Mall Department Store.
