Phang Nga's new skywalk unveiled

Kata Group recently unveiled a skywalk at its upcoming hotel Beyond Skywalk Nangshi as Phang-Nga's new sky-high landmark.

Opening in April, Beyond Skywalk Nangshi is a 57-room resort that comes with Thailand’s longest glass-floored viewing platform. While the hotel isn't complete, the skywalk, which is 180m in length and 80m above sea level, has been open to the public since Dec 31. Its three layers of thick glass (30mm) can withstand 500kg per square metre as visitors enjoy sunset views, with nearby islands on the horizon. Admission fees can be fully redeemed for food and drink until the end of this month.

Beyond Skywalk Nangshi's accommodation starts from 23m² tents with sea views, pavilions with views of Samet Nangshi's lush hills, islands and the Andaman Sea, to pool villas with one or two bedrooms. Guests can take a refreshing dip in the infinity pool on the fourth floor of the lobby building and on-site dining options include all-day restaurant Horizon or Skywalk Café for a casual bite and coffee.

More adventures await outside, including a tour of mangrove-lined canals in a traditional longtail boat, limestone monolith James Bond Island, hidden coves of Hong Island and snorkelling spot Panak Island. Or visit the floating village of Koh Panyee to experience local hospitality and culture.
