HANOI, Dec 20 (Reuters) - Vietnam's 2017 exports and imports combined set a record, topping US$400 billion, the customs department said on Wednesday.
Vietnam exported roughly $204 billion of goods as of Dec 15, the department said in a report, while imports in the same period were $201.3 billion.
Trade has jumped four-fold in a decade, the department said in a statement on Tuesday.
The department estimated Vietnam would have a trade surplus of $3 billion this year.
Vietnam posted a trade surplus of $596 million in November, higher than a government forecast.
