TV operators were ordered to return broadcasting to "normal" colour Thursday night, from the subdued system they had been showing for the mourning period for the late King Bhumibol.
The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission ordered the switch.
According to the NBTC, operators should resume broadcasting in full colour, but to include an on-screen logo reminding viewers of the funeral and cremation ceremonies that will begin next week.
There was criticism of the order to broadcast in subdued colour, because it would not allow viewers nationwide to see the full spectacle of the coming ceremonies.
The broadcast regulators, who were assigned official duties as censors shortly after the 2014 military coup, TV stations should limit entertainment and concentrate on documentaries recording the life and work of the late king.
