About 110,000 mourners have been allowed to go inside Sanam Luang and areas near the Grand Palace after all screening points closed.
The government said on Thursday that all screening points closed at 6am, after about 111,000 people passed security and went inside to witness the royal cremation ceremonies for the late King Bhumibol.
No incidents have been reported at any screening area.
Many of those further back in line have remained near the screening points, hoping authorities will allow more to go inside to watch the ceremonies.
Mourners flocked to Ratchadamnoen Avenue and other roads outside Sanam Luang after they were unable to get inside.
