Bangkok witnessed heavy impact from the 7.7-magnitude earthquake in Myanmar on March 28, 2025. Most notably, the under-construction State Audit Office collapsed, trapping dozens. Elsewhere office workers and hospital patients were evacuated and commuters were stranded at stations of electric railways that were closed for safety checks. Search and rescue continued on March 29.
