Port FC have appealed the ruling by the Football Association of Thailand (FAT) which handed the Thai League 1 club a 2-0 forfeit loss following a power outage at their PAT Stadium prior to a match on Sunday.

The FAT made the decision on Tuesday, saying Port must shoulder responsibility for the incident.

Port chairwoman Nualphan Lamsam said on Wednesday the move was "unfair."

Sunday's Thai League 1 match between Port and SCG Muang Thong United was called off after a power transformer blew up 30 minutes before the scheduled 6pm start of the game.

Nualphan said police officers, bomb disposal experts and the match commissioner agreed that the match should be postponed as it could be too dangerous for parties involved.

Last month, Port were also slapped with a 2-0 loss to Police Tero after a similar incident during a league match at PAT Stadium.

On Tuesday, Nualphan said she had asked the FAT to permit Port to play their home games at another venue for the remainder of the first half of the season.

FA Cup winners Port were in contention for the Thai League 1 title when the season was suspended in March after four rounds of matches.

But they have had an unconvincing spell after the league resumed last month, leading to the sacking of coach Jadet Meelarp.

New coach Sarawut Treephan helped the Lions seal their first win after the restart with a 3-2 victory at bottom club Trat.

Meanwhile, national team players, who were picked by coach Akira Nishino, reported to the training camp at Bangkok's Windmill Football Club on Wednesday.

They will play a warm-up match with Thai League 2 side Nakhon Pathom FC in Nakhon Pathom on Saturday.
