Phetjeeja Lukjaoporongtom has called out atomweight Muay Thai champion Allycia Rodrigues as she itches for a return to ONE Championship action.
“The Queen” has not fought since unifying the atomweight kickboxing titles against Janet Todd in March 2024 at Lumpinee Stadium.
It was a sixth straight win in the promotion but she was embroiled in some drama last September when she left Pattaya’s Venum Training Camp after reportedly falling out with her trainers.
The 23-year-old Thai has since moved to Bangkok’s Sor Dechapan gym but is still waiting on the sidelines, with her sights set on Brazil’s Rodrigues.
“I’m ready to fight any time, but I will come back soon, 100 percent,” Phetjeeja told the Bangkok Post at ONE Fight Night 27 last weekend.
“This is my goal in ONE Championship. I want to fight for the Muay Thai belt. I want to fight Allycia. Whenever she is ready, I am ready.”
Should the Rodrigues fight not materialise, Phetjeeja admitted she would be happy to accommodate Stamp Fairtex.
The ONE atomweight MMA champion told the Bangkok Post she is looking for a kickboxing “warm-up” in May before defending her title, as she continues her comeback from injury.
“I’m very happy to fight Stamp if she wants to come to kickboxing,” Phetjeeja said with a smile.
Phetjeeja was simply an observer at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok last weekend, having planned to watch Rambolek Sor Ajalaboon – only for his fight to be scrapped after his opponent failed to pass hydration and make weight.
“I came to cheer for Rambolek but the fight was cancelled,” she added, laughing. “But I’m still excited to come here to Lumpinee Stadium again.”
