Favourite Nontaya Srisawang fired a three-under-par 68 in the final round for a five-stroke victory at the Singha-SAT Thai LPGA Championship in Samut Prakan yesterday.
The Chiang Mai golfer made five birdies against one bogey to win on 207 at the 54-hole tournament - the fourth on the Thai LPGA Tour this year.
Wannasiri Sirisamphan was second on 212 following a 70 at the par-71, 6,174-yard Green Valley Country Club.
Thanaporn Kongkiatkrai (70) was tied third with Walailak Satalak (72), six strokes behind the champion.
Amateur Kamolwan Luemsri, who shared the lead with Nontaya after two rounds, struggled with a 76 to finish on 215.
Nontaya took home 71,900 baht from her third Thai LPGA win this year. She next plays at the UNIQA Ladies Golf Open in Austria from Sept 7-9.
The next event in the Thai LPGA Championship series will be held at Panya Intra Golf Club from Sept 26-28.
