Four Thai players, including three teenagers, earned full membership of the 2016 LPGA Tour season after finishing in the top 20 at the qualifying school in Daytona Beach, Florida on Sunday.
The quartet are Budsabakorn Sukapan, 18, Benyapa Niphatsophon, 18, Pannarat Thanapolboonyaras, 17, and Nontaya Srisawang, 27.
In the final round of the 90-hole competition, Budsabakorn of Chiang Rai posted a two-under-par 70 to tie for second on 349 with Grace Na of the US (69), seven strokes behind winner Feng Simin of China.
Chiang Mai's Nontaya shared 10th place on 353 following her final-round 73.
Pannarat from Roi-Et, who was the youngest player in the field, was two strokes further back, while Benyapa claimed the final spot after a three-way play-off.
Next season, the four newcomers will join Pornanong Phatlum, Ariya Jutanugarn, Moriya Jutanugarn, Patcharajutar Khongkraphan and Thidapa Suwannapura on the LPGA Tour after they retained their playing rights after the 2015 season.
With nine players with full membership status, there should be a higher chance of seeing the first Thai winner emerge on the women's elite tour.
Additionally, Wichanee Meechai, who was tied for 22nd at the qualifying school, Prima Thamamaraks (26th), Sherman Santiwiwatthanapong (26th) and Pavarisa Yoktuan (32nd) all got limited status.
Budsabakorn, the 2014 Asian Games team gold medallist and individual runner-up, said she was successful at the Q-school because of her hard work.
"I practised a lot both in Thailand and the US,'' said Budsabakorn who was among 10 Thais in the Q-school final stage.
However, the Chiang Rai native admitted that she was never confident to get a full membership card until the last hole.
"I was not really confident because there were a lot of good players and the weather was not so good as it was raining and windy. I just tried my best and it worked,'' said the young star.
Benyapa, who turned professional just before the Q-school, said she was extremely happy to secure a tour card in her first try.
"I am ready to play on the LPGA Tour," said Benyapa, also a member of the Asian Games gold medal winning team.
Cheyenne Woods, niece of Tiger Woods, was 13th at the Q-school and earned a tour card.
