There are many reasons to make a web page into a PDF - to forward it, to save it, to print it, for example. But normal PDF printers usually make a terrible hash of the task.

To convert a web page to an interactive PDF is simple, and there are numerous personal tweaks you can set.
If you only want to do this once in a while, use a free, online service like HTML to PDF Converter at http://www.html-pdf-converter.com.
Give the site the URL of the page you want to convert, and wait. In about a minute or so, the PDF will automatically transfer to your computer and open in your default PDF reader.
If you want your own software to do this job, I suggest a program I have tested - from Germany, the strangely named 7-PDFMyURL.
During installation, 7-PDF has an option to also install an anti-malware detector. It's up to you.
Once installed, the program is dead simple. Drag, copy or type the URL of the web site page you want to convert and click on (obviously) Convert to PDF!
The program finds the web page, goes to work and in a few seconds is ready to show it to you.
I was disappointed for a moment that the program loaded the finished web page in the Adobe Acrobat Reader. But when I explored the program after the first test, I found you only have to click the "Save options" tab to change that to your own preference.
The finished PDF version of the web page is excellent - impressive even. 7-PDF creates Bookmarks to each section of the page. When I converted the Bangkok Post website's Tech section, the PDF was neatly divided into main, Poll, Tech news, Blogs and so on.
Every link on the original web page was converted to a clickable web link on the PDF.
The program breaks the PDF into printable page lengths, defaulting to A4 paper. There are numerous tweaks you can make.
7-PDFMyURL is hosted at http://www.7-pdf.de, and tinyurl.com/24a5wc5tinyurl.com/24a5wc5here is the English translation of the relevant section: (tinyurl.com/24a5wc5).
Note to readers: I made an error in the URL in my review of Slim PDF Reader on Aug 25. If you could not access the Reader, try this URL; the last slash is important (http://www.investintech.com/resources/freetools/).
