The water level in the Wang River was rising rapidly on Saturday, with part of Wang Nua district of Lampang flooded. A bridge in the district collapsed from the pressure of the strong current in the river.

At least three villages in Pua district of Nan, including Ban Na Kham, have also sustained flood damage.

Taweep U-sun, a homeowner in the village, said the torrent quickly breached a fence and poured into the house, damaging two vehicles.
