The Facebook page of MR Srikhumrung Yukol has released an edited version of the video made by her father, MC Chatrichalerm Yukol, featuring hundreds of thousands of mourners joining in singing the Royal Anthem for their beloved King Bhumibol.
The 9 minute 10 seconds video features mainly King Bhumibol’s speech to the people on Dec 31, 1976. The singing of the full anthem is shown in the final three minutes of the video.
The mass performance was filmed on Oct 22 at Sanam Luang. A 100-piece orchestra and a 100-member professional choir conducted by composer Somtow Sucharitkul led the huge crowd of black-clad mourners singing this elegant song in remembrance of the late King.
An estimated 300,000 people participated in the event, which was filmed in the afternoon and at night.
