When it comes to Valentine's Day, nobody beats Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha and actress Patcharapa "Aum" Chaichuea.
Gen Prayut has emerged as a runaway choice for youngsters as the most popular figure they want to send them a love note on Feb 14, with 77.23% of them voting for the junta leaders in a Nida poll released on Sunday.
Former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra came a very distant second with 8% of the popular vote, followed by his sister and another ex-premier Yingluck, who garnered 5.9%.
She edged another former prime minister, Abhisit Vejjajiva, who collected 4.7% of the votes.
All except Gen Prayut came to power through general elections.
The National Institute of Development Administration polled 1,200 people aged 25 or under across the country on Thursday and Friday.
Outside politics, "Aum" cemented her popularity as the celebrity most people wanted a love message from.
They voted 14.53% for her, almost three times more than the runner-up, actor Mario Maurer, who received 5.67%.
The most famous duet on screen -- Nadech Kugimiya and Urassaya "Yaya" Sperbund -- followed Mario with 4.43% and 3.57% respectively.
"Aum" has been on top of several polls on Valentine's Day for years.
