KIS Announces Precautionary School Closure

KIS International School is taking precautionary measures in safeguarding our community by implementing a 14 day school closure between March 16 to March 30, 2020.

Following the protocols and consultation with the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH), Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) and the Ministry of Education (MOE), we have decided that this is the best course of action.

On Friday afternoon, the school learned that a KIS parent has been in contact with a person who received a COVID-19 diagnosis. Our parent is currently not symptomatic and the family is undergoing self-quarantine. However, to mitigate the risk of contagion, we feel that taking preventative measures at this time is in the best interest of our community. As a further precaution, the school has undergone campus-wide fumigation.

We would like to make it clear that we do not currently have any reported cases of COVID-19 diagnosed at KIS.

Online learning will begin on Tuesday March 17, 2020 and the campus will re-open on Tuesday March 31, 2020.

We thank our community members for their support to keep KIS International School a safe and healthy place for everyone.
