BMA emphasises pro-active personal sanitation

On 1 May 2020, Pol.Lt.Gen. Sopon Pisuttiwong, Deputy Governor of Bangkok, presided over the meeting of the BMA’s Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration No. 36/2020.

The meeting reported on the current situation regarding the spread of the COVID-19 virus. In Bangkok, one new COVID-19 case was confirmed, bringing the total confirmed cases to 1,489 patients. Nineteen patients were recovered and discharged from hospitals. The total number of recovered cases was 1,389. 76 patients were undergoing treatment in hospitals. There was no additional death and the total deaths stayed at 24.

The meeting urged related departments to conduct proactive screening to cover every risk group because finding confirmed cases earlier enables faster and more successful control, containment and curtailment of the spreading.
