
On the occasion of the Metropolitan Waterworks Authority (MWA)’s 53rd Anniversary, Mr. Prinya Yamasamit, Governor, chaired the opening ceremony of “MWA Meets People” activities at Tha Sai community, Lak Si, Bangkok.
Taking “Change for Better Care” as its theme, the activities focused on the development of MWA services and water supply systems so that people can access sufficient and clean water that meets World Health Organisation (WHO) standards.
The MWA implemented “MWA Meets People” activities at all its 18 branches, including Khlong Toei Community, Housing Community, Tha Sai Community, Ban Khaek Intersection Community.
The activities comprised water supply service, preliminary plumbing inspection and repair, recommending ways to check for leaky pipes inside a house, and inviting water users to use MWA onMobile applications via Line ID @MWAthailand and e-Bill and e-Tax Invoice and e-Receipt services.
The MWA also explained how to use water economically and how to choose water-saving devices with a MWA water-saving label.
The activities also aimed to make people realise the importance of water resources and the environment while also exploring water users’ satisfaction as a means to improve services.
There were also fun activities to win many prizes.
The MWA governor summarised saying: “The MWA continues to produce adequate water supply that meets quality standards and encourages people to use water economically.
“Water resources are running out, so use every drop of water wisely.”
