The Mall Group collaborates with National Blood Center, Thai Red Cross Society to open the fifth blood donation centre at The Emporium
The Mall Group partners with the National Blood Center, Thai Red Cross Society to open an additional fixed blood donation station at The Emporium as the fifth location. The new station, now open at the 2nd floor of B building, is an additional channel to collect blood donations for the National Blood Center, Thai Red Cross Society.
Voralak Tulaphorn, Chief Marketing Officer, The Mall Group Co., Ltd. said: “The Mall Group is a private organisation that values the importance of collecting blood donations to assist fellow humans. We have worked with the National Blood Center, Thai Red Cross Society on M Heart Blood Donation project since 2006, becoming the #1 donor in Thailand to collect blood donations for 14 consecutive years. The Mall Group is the first shopping complex to house a dedicated, fixed blood donation centre that is open 365 days a year. Since its inception, the M Heart Blood Donation project has donated a total of 450 million cc of blood to the National Blood Center, Thai Red Cross Society. The donation was collected through blood drives during various special occasions and from four fixed stations at The Mall Lifestore Ngamwongwan, The Mall Bangkae, The Mall Bangkapi, and The Mall Nakorn Ratchasima.”
As an additional channel to collect blood donations to assist fellow humans for the National Blood Center, Thai Red Cross Society, The Mall Group opened the fifth fixed blood donation centre at The Emporium opened daily from 12.00-18.00 hours. Staff from the National Blood Center, Thai Red Cross Society are onsite to collect blood donation to ensure safety and hygiene of donors. The staff adheres to safety measures according to the Ministry of Public Health’s Department of Disease Control’s strict guidelines.
Thais in good health can assist fellow humans by donating blood every three months, which helps alleviate blood shortage. The five fixed blood donation centres are open every day from 12.00-18.00 hours at The Mall Group’s shopping centres: The Mall Lifestore Ngamwongwan (5th floor); The Mall Bangkae (P floor lobby); The Mall Bangkapi (3A floor); The Mall Nakorn Ratchasima (2nd floor); The Emporium (2nd floor B building).
