Alternative Covid-19 vaccination stations now open in collaboration with government and private sectors to speed up mass immunization

To support the nation’s Covid-19 vaccination agenda, Siam Paragon and ICONSIAM, in collaboration with government and private sectors, was set to open alternatives vaccination stations at their retail premises, starting 7 June 2021. The immunization will be provided to the public pre-registered via “Mor Prom” or “Thai Ruam Jai, Safe Bangkok” platforms. The operation is efficiently managed with maximum safety measures practiced to ensure public confidence – with underlying goals to speed up vaccine access and accelerate mass immunization, for the country to together overcome the pandemic crisis.

Operated under “Siam Ruam Jai, Together We Fight Covid-19” project, with a strong belief that the collaboration of all Thais will help the nation get through the crisis, Siam Paragon joins Bangkok Hospital, the Health Department under Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) and the Thai Chamber of Commerce to offer an alternative vaccination site at its convention hall, Royal Paragon Hall, 5th Floor, Siam Paragon. Thanks to its city-centre location, this non-hospital venue offers convenient access by public transport, Skytrain and private vehicles. The site is operated under stringent safety and social distancing measures, in accordance with the authorities’ guidelines.

Spanning 12,000 square metres of space, Royal Paragon Hall effectively operates an efficient management system that can serve over 2,500 vaccine recipients per day. Service areas are organised in five stations. Station 1: verification and queu number. Station 2: health screening and blood pressure measuring. Station 3: registration. Station 4: Vaccination. Station 5: Post-vaccination symptom monitoring for 30 minutes. Social distancing and disease control measures are practiced at all times to ensure maximum safety for the visitors at the property.

Siam Paragon is offering full support to the country’s vaccination mission. Staff and volunteers have been allocated as well as providing support facilities to assist throughout the operation in order to effectively accelerate public inoculation. The trial run has been effectively carried out with disease control front liners, essential workers at higher risk of work-related exposure to mass public as well as Airline Association of Thailand personnel, comprising seven airlines, that have pre-registered with the Health Department under Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA).

The service will be provided to people pre-registered via “Mor Prom” application or LINE account or “Thai Ruam Jai, Safe Bangkok” system to accelerate vaccinations among residents of Bangkok, which is currently the strictest Covis-19 controlled province.

Siam Paragon regards the safety of its visitors and staff as its top priority. Maximum health and safety measures according to the authorities’ guidelines are practiced, including temperature check points, hand sanitizers, and increased frequency of cleaning air-conditioning and cooling systems. In collaboration with Siriraj Hospital and the Health Department under Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) and the Thai Chamber of Commerce, non-hospital vaccination station at ICONSIAM art Space, 8th Floor will open on 7 June 2021.  Its panoramic Chao Phraya riverside location makes this alternative vaccination site the most scenic station for vaccine recipients that can offer a sense of relaxation and a feast for the eyes. The site is spacious and well-ventilated with hygienic restrooms. This is the first time that ICONSIAM Art Space will serve other purposes than its original function as an art exhibition space to showcase creations from local and international artists. The space ensures public safety for the vaccine recipients. ICONSIAM also allocates its staff and volunteers for the operation, provides food and beverages to medical personnel and supports other facilities through the service.

Those pre-registered via “Mor Prom” or “Thai Ruam Jai, Safe Bangkok,” who have chosen ICONSIAM as their preferred location can conveniently access the premises by SkyTrain using the Gold Line and exiting at Charoen Nakhon station. For private vehicles, over 5,000 parking spaces are available. ICONSIAM can also be accessed by boat or shuttle boat service from Sathorn or Sri Phraya Pier.
