Mr. Vasit Taepaisitphongse, Betagro Group’s Chief Executive Officer and President, disclosed that Betagro Group realises the severe impact of this new wave of COVID-19. It has therefore decided to proceed with its “BETAGRO #recover19 – Phase 3” project. Under this project, the Group supports the work of the health sector as it plays an important role in urgently taking care of COVID-19 patients and containing the current pandemic.
Betagro Group has donated 6,000,000 baht to purchase medical equipment for three large hospitals which have been taking care of COVID-19 patients, namely, Thammasat University Hospital, Chulalongkorn Hospital and Ramathibodi Hospital. Besides the medical equipment, the Group has donated 15,000 bottles of high-quality alcohol gel to 33 hospitals, provincial public health offices and communities around the country. So far, it has already contributed 2 million baht to the COVID-19 vaccine joint development project under the supervision of the Thai Red Cross, Chulalongkorn University’s Faculty of Medicine, and Chulalongkorn’s Faculty of Medicine Foundation.
“We strongly believe that if Thailand can successfully manufacture its own COVID-19 vaccines, Thai people’s health and the country’s economy will quickly be restored.
