During the challenging period of the Covid-19 pandemic throughout Thailand, Mitsubishi Motors Thailand and Mitsubishi Motors Thailand Foundation (MMTF) are working together to support Thai communities
by donating drinking water and N95 masks to medical personnel at six hospitals in Bangkok, Pathum Thani and Chonburi. 10 tons of cardboard have also been delivered to SCG Packaging Public Company Limited and SCG Foundation for making paper field hospital beds for use in field hospitals and medical centres that encounter bed shortages. The donations are under the ‘Mitsubishi Motors Save Doctors, Save Lives, Fight Against Covid-19’ project.

“Thousands of people are suffering the devastating effects of this pandemic. To express our concern with the situation, we are working to assist communities with donations of cardboard to make paper field hospital beds along with drinking water and N95 masks for the heroic healthcare personnel in hospitals. To mark the 60th anniversary of the company, our employees will also donate money through the Mitsubishi Motors Foundation in order to relieve the Covid-19 situation. All employees at Mitsubishi Motors would also like to send their encouragement to all frontline healthcare heroes,” said Mr. Koito.
Mitsubishi Motors Thailand has donated 10 tons of cardboard to SCG Packaging Public Company Limited and SCG Foundation for making 100-percent recycled, lightweight and ergonomic field beds designed especially for Asians. The beds are easy to transport and store, and they can be assembled in just eight minutes. The completed paper field hospital beds are being delivered to field hospitals and medical centres throughout Thailand to help treat Covid-19 patients.
Mitsubishi Motors Thailand also donated a total of 2,600 packs of drinking water and a total of 4,800 N95 masks to six hospitals, including Thammasat University Hospital, Chula Field Hospital, Banglamung Hospital, Laemchabang Hospital, Vibharam Laemchabang Hospital and Chonburi Hospital, to support and safeguard the health and safety of healthcare staff.
Previously, Mitsubishi Motors Thailand collaborated with its dealer network in its fight against Covid-19 by delivering seven units of sophisticated ventilators, 1,400 units of high-quality PPE and 4,000 units of N95 masks to six hospitals in Bangkok and upcountry that were affected by the pandemic last year. Donations were contributed by employees and from the sale of Mitsubishi vehicles. The company also built UV-C disinfection machines which were delivered to four hospitals in Chonburi to support medical treatment.
