Bangkok, 2 August, 2021 - As Covid-19 remains an ongoing concern, all sectors are cooperating to help in the mitigation efforts against the pandemic. It is especially important that healthcare workers, who are the frontline guardians in the struggle, be supported and protected as much as possible as they deal with increasing numbers of patients and are faced with continuous risk exposure.
COWAY, South Korea's number one manufacturer of environmentally friendly home appliances, has contributed to the support of healthcare workers through a donation of 30 COWAY "AP-3018B Giant" air purifiers worth over 1,450,000 Baht, along with cleaning/maintenance and replacement services, to Chulalongkorn Hospital. Thai Red Cross Society Asst. Prof. Mawin Vongsaisuwon, Assistant Head of Department of Surgery Department of Surgery, and Dr. Petch Alisanan, Assistant Director of Chulalongkorn Hospital for Service Support, were honored members of the delegation at Anand Mahidol Building.
"Thank you sincerely for giving these air purifiers to Chulalongkorn Hospital,” said Thai Red Cross Society Asst. Prof. Mawin Vongsaisuwon. “Having the ability to use air purifiers at this point in the pandemic is a huge benefit. Essentially, the greater the number of air purifiers with HEPA filters we are able to deploy in operating rooms the better, especially as we need to respond to the needs of patients who are already infected and recovering in ICU. Along with the incredible work done by healthcare workers, the air purifiers will support our staff by reducing bacteria exposure while performing our duties."
The latest innovation in the line of COWAY air purifiers is the "AP-3018B Giant," which can purify and cleanse air from pollution and germs in an area of 97 sq.m. They have been designed to be ‘beautiful in appearance and easy to move’. The Giant air purifier features a powerful dual-air suction motor with a high-performance 14-step filtration system to remove viruses and bacteria. With HEPA filtering, it can filter out 99.9% of airborne pollution and dust with a resolution of 0.02 microns, as well as reducing odors.
Mr. Park Chun Yong, Managing Director, COWAY (Thailand) Co., Ltd. said: "As the epidemic continues to escalate, it is our duty to cooperate and help each other. I would like to represent our COWAY teams, including all of our customers, to express our genuine concern and offer our sincere encouragement to all healthcare professionals and related teams in the fight against the pandemic. We hope that our quality products will play a crucial role in assisting the work of medical and nursing teams, ensuring that personnel are more comfortable and able to breathe fresh, germ-free air. They will be an important asset during operations, both for doctors performing the treatment and for the patient who needs to be supported in their recovery back to full health. We're going to get through this crisis together.”
