IRPC has announced a new vision to “Shape Material and Energy Solutions in Harmony with Life”. In implementing the vision, IRPC will move forward to leverage its expertise to go beyond its leadership in petrochemical and petroleum sectors. With its innovation and knowledge of materials and energy, it will meet the basic need of people to live in harmony with the environment.
Mr. Chawalit Tippawanich, Chief Executive Officer and President of IRPC Public Company Limited (IRPC), revealed, “To respond to megatrends that affect and create changes to the economy, society, and business, IRPC has determined a new vision that will drive the organisation to create good things for every creature and the environment. “
IRPC’s new vision for 2021 and beyond is simply “To Shape Material and Energy Solutions in Harmony with Life". This vision has been arrived at after reflecting on the changes taking place to the global business environment in terms of technology, communication, transportation and customer demands, at the same time as entering aging society conditions and taking care to protect the environment and avoid trade wars. These factors not only impact entrepreneurs but represent a significant opportunity for IRPC to increase its efficiency and strength.
IRPC focuses on creating innovative materials to supply the needs of consumers while using renewable resources and protecting the environment. These can be done by developing new products that meet the requirements of the medical and health sectors.
The first of these innovative products created by Thai people for Thai people is the PP Melt Blown (Polypropylene Melt blown). PP Melt Blown is an important raw material in the production of N95 masks and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Another example is crucial agricultural innovations such as zinc oxide nano (ZnO NANO), developed from zinc oxide (ZnO) to improve the efficiency of nutrient acquisition by plant elements in order to increase agricultural productivity while being safe for farmers and the environment.
As for energy solutions, IRPC will expand its energy production ability and encourage use of renewable energy, including solar panel coatings for heat reduction and energy storage for electric vehicles. IRPC will also improve its refinery processes in order to contribute more petrochemical products.
