
IRPC Public Company Limited, represented by Ms. Arisara Suthasut, Executive Vice President Corporate Affairs and Company Secretary, was awarded 1st runner-up in the “UN Women 2022 Thailand WEPs Awards” in the category of Community Engagement & Partnerships for the second year running from the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and Empowerment of Women (UN Women). The award presentation ceremony was organised at Lotus Suite, 22nd floor, Centara Grand at CentralWorld.
The UN Women 2022 Thailand WEPs Awards are the only awards in Thailand and the Asia Pacific for business models that promote gender equality and female potential. This year, integrated farming and learning centre Suan Yai Dai “Jae Boon Chuen” IRPC Smart Farming awarded 1st Runner-up to Ms. Boonchuen Phokaew, a female leader in Tapong community in Tambon Tapong. Ms. Boonchuen was appraised as a role model Thai farmer successfully inspiring other female farmers in communities and other provinces nationwide by being a powerful woman who can generate income and positively contribute to her community. Ms. Boonchuen is supported by IRPC in compliance with sustainable development goal (SDG1): No Poverty, SDG5: Gender Equality, SDG8: Good Job and Economic Growth.
