Design concept of Centara Ubon is filled with Ubon and Isan vibes in every corner

Centara Ubon has chosen unique materials and a distinctive ‘red brick’ color, which has long been used in Thai architecture, particularly in the Northeast. These bricks are made from a combination of red clay and rice husk ash, and are bonded together with cement to provide strength, and arranged into various shapes. Every brick used in the construction of Centara Ubon was handcrafted by local artisans.

The hotel’s interior is adorned with locally crafted handicrafts from Ubon and Isan, from the moment you arrive until you depart. Guests can discover exquisite cotton and silk fabrics with local patterns, including the unique 'Kab Bua' pattern of Ubon Ratchathani province, along with delicately woven natural materials and exceptional sculptures. These elements are designed to be world-class masterpieces, reflecting the perfect blend of the local community's elements and ensuring that Centara Ubon offers an authentic experience, including:

• Lobby: The Khong, Chi, and Mun river flow pattern art installation is a large piece that replicates the flow patterns of the Khong, Chi, and Mun rivers with cotton threads on a large weaving loom. It is the only sculpture in the world created by nature called ‘Sam Phan Bok’.

• 1st-floor hallway in front of the elevator: Handwoven cloth collage art showcases various valuable designs from local fabrics and the wisdom of Isan locals, such as the lotus leaf pattern, the squirrel tail pattern, the water flow pattern, the ‘Khan Mak Beng’ pattern (banana leaves and flowers art), and the ‘Krajab Mong’ pattern.

• 2nd-floor hallway in front of the elevator: A prehistoric wrought-iron art installation replicates a painting over 4,000 years old found at Pha Taem National Park.

• 3rd-floor hallway in front of the elevator: A stone sculpture art installation inspired by the curve of rocks created by the flow of the Mekong River.

• 4th-floor hallway in front of the elevator: An Isan threshing basket art installation combines local wisdom with handwoven fabrics of various patterns, creating an amazing wall decoration sculpture.

• 5th-floor hallway in front of the elevator: A spindle art installation uses spindles, which are used in weaving to supply thread into the part stretched on the weaving loom. The spindles are connected to lines to create new and unique art.

• 6th-floor hallway in front of the elevator: A Buddhist Lent candle art installation inspired by the tradition of the Buddhist Lent candle procession features large candles that have been carved with exquisite beauty, representing the fusion of the faith of the people of Ubon Ratchathani.
