Under the theme of "Empowering Talent to Shape the Future," Huawei aimed to foster and encourage the development of digital talents in Thailand. The expo, organised by the Thai Ministry of Labor, brought together over 400 enterprises to recruit talents and establish strategic partnerships. It offered Thai job seekers a wide range of employment opportunities both domestically and internationally, spanning various business sectors, including the dynamic field of Information and Communication Technologies.

The Department of Employment, led by Mr. Boonchob Suthamanuswong, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Labour, and Mr. Pairoj Chotikasathien, Director-General of the Department of Employment, actively participated in Job Expo Thailand 2023. The event witnessed remarkable engagement, with more than 500,000 job vacancies available across government agencies, state enterprises, and private firms. As a key exhibitor in telecommunications and digital solutions, Huawei showcased over 60 career positions, catering to skilled talents, fresh graduates, and academic students. Through its participation, Huawei aimed to generate employment opportunities and stability for Thai individuals while reinforcing the local talent pool, in alignment with its vision of a digitally advanced Thailand. Commenting on the expo, Mr. Boonchob Suthamanuswong, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Labour, emphasised its significance, stating, "The expo was designed to enable graduates, the unemployed, the handicapped, and the elderly to directly interact with business owners, bridging the employment gap and saving time and costs for both parties. Furthermore, the expo educates Thai citizens about labour market demands and provides career guidance and counselling, contributing to the enhancement of employment capabilities, reduction of unemployment rates, and mitigation of labour shortages in the country. We extend our gratitude to industry leaders

like Huawei for their participation in the event, creating more opportunities for Thai individuals and contributing to the growth of Thailand's industries and economy."

Building upon their successful participation in 2022, Huawei returns to Job Expo Thailand, showcasing their commitment to fostering digital talents in the country. This year, in addition to offering full-time positions within their telecommunications business, Huawei extends invitations to academic students to apply for internships through renowned programs like 'Seeds for the Future' and 'ICT Young Talents.' As part of their dedication to preparing Thai youth for the labour market and elevating ICT skills, Huawei continues to establish strong knowledge foundations through initiatives such as the 'Digital Bus' and the 'Seeds for the Future' project. Collaborations with educational institutions further enhance these efforts. Huawei's upcoming talent development initiatives for 2023 include Women in Tech, Cyber Top Talent, and more.

Aligning with their goals for the year, Huawei strives to cultivate 10,000 green engineers and 20,000 Huawei developers over the next three years, demonstrating their steadfast commitment to Thailand. Emphasising the importance of knowledge in areas like cybersecurity, Cloud, and AI, Huawei aims to equip its ICT personnel with the necessary expertise.
