Taiwan Excellence presented innovative Industry 4.0 solutions at Manufacturing Expo 2023
Taiwan Excellence, a project aimed at bringing the best Taiwan-made products to the world, led a team of exceptional industrial automation companies to showcase their latest smart manufacturing solutions and modern automation equipment at the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion and "Empowering Smart Manufacturing" product launch during the Manufacturing Expo 2023, the most important manufacturing exhibition in Southeast Asia. The exhibition took place from June 21 to 24.
The captivating theme of "Innovation Inspires Progress" set the stage for the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion, where seven renowned Taiwanese companies—Advantech, Chin Fong, GMT Global Inc, PLANET, SOLOMON, Techman Robot, and Toyo—showcased carefully curated selections of cutting-edge innovations. These groundbreaking solutions aim to strengthen and fortify the industry as it embraces a transformative journey into a new era of heightened automation. The exhibition featured an impressive array of products, including collaborative robots, IIoT platforms, wearable AI inference systems, industrial Ethernet switches, precise data processing software, precision components, and smart metal stamping machines.
The Taiwan Excellence "Empowering Smart Manufacturing" Product Launch took place on the first day of the exhibition. This engaging initiative strategically focused on aligning with the theme and aimed to familiarise participants with the latest technological advancements from Taiwan. By introducing these innovations, the ultimate goal was to elevate and enhance Thailand's industrial sector's competitive capabilities, ensuring it remains at the forefront of the global stage.
During the grand unveiling, SOLOMON showcased its META-aivi wearable AI solution. This solution utilises AI systems to record and analyse production data, reducing human errors and enhancing work efficiency. ADVANTECH introduced its vibration sensing solution, which supports the LoRaWAN network. With advantages such as low power consumption and long-distance connection, LoRaWAN enables sensors to achieve long-range and real-time detection. Techman Robot demonstrated the AI vision of its collaborative robots and shared case studies of their products being applied in various fields such as automotive assembly, metal processing, and palletising operations. GMT Global Inc. showcased the applications of its precision components, including linear actuators, electric cylinders, and motorised stages, in industries such as automotive, semiconductor, and optical fiber. Lastly, PLANET presented its industrial Ethernet solutions aimed at assisting manufacturers in Thailand in establishing a high-speed and cost-effective network system utilising 5G and LoRaWAN technologies.
Ms. Jung-Tzu Niu, First Secretary of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Thailand, served as the VIP for the opening remarks. She stated, "As the 6th largest supplier to Thailand in 2022, Taiwan has built a strong bond with Thailand in the manufacturing sector. By fostering partnerships and embracing innovation, we can achieve improved efficiency, increased productivity, and enhanced profitability. Together, we can build a stronger and more vibrant manufacturing community."
Dr. Somsit Moonsatan, Chairman of the Machinery and Metal Work Industry Club at The Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), also attended as the VIP. In his opening remarks, he said, "Thailand is pushing forward with various future-oriented industrial sectors. To promote industries that produce high-value-added products, we must fully utilise technology and innovation. Thai industrialists continue to have trust and confidence in the effectiveness of technologies from Taiwan.
