Kongkrapan Intarajang, the new Chief Executive Officer and President of PTT Plc, outlined his strategy upon taking office as the leader of the national energy giant. His plan focuses on strengthening PTT alongside Thai society and achieving sustainable global growth.
This vision involves enhancing ties with Thai society and fostering business growth based on the principle of "balanced sustainability" across economic, social, environmental, and good governance dimensions.
Dr. Kongkrapan detailed his business management approach, which includes:
"Managing business sustainably in all dimensions": Businesses must be profitable, but this profit should be appropriate and sustainable, not focused on short-term gains. The business must benefit Thailand, support Thai society, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and the national economy as a whole.
"Investments must benefit both the organisation and the country": Given the volatile and rapidly changing global situation, PTT must be agile. Successful businesses should be expanded, while those that are no longer performing well must be exited swiftly and wisely.
"Building confidence among all stakeholders": Business operations and management must be transparent, with a serious commitment to corporate governance.
Dr. Kongkrapan emphasized the importance of PTT's staff, stating that capable and knowledgeable personnel are crucial for the company. It's essential to empower and foster collaboration, enabling the organisation to overcome all challenges.
"Strengthening PTT alongside Thai society and achieving sustainable global growth" must be realised, Dr. Kongkrapan said.
