Kingspan, a global leader in high-performance building envelope solutions, including insulated roof and wall panels, completed the acquisition of Thailand-based insulated panels manufacturer, Fatek Advance Insulation Company, on 19 June 2024. The facility, located in the Rojana Industrial Park Ayutthaya, has been renamed Kingspan Insulated Panels (Thailand) Co., Ltd. The launch ceremony was attended by several Kingspan representatives, including Mr. Manuel Furer, Regional Managing Director (Asia Pacific), Mr. Minh Ha, Area Manager (Indochina), Mr. Liam Wignall, Regional Finance Director (Asia Pacific), and Ms. Thararat Wutticha, General Manager (Thailand).
Mr. Manuel Furer, Regional Managing Director (Asia Pacific), stated, “Kingspan Ayutthaya is Kingspan Group’s second factory in Southeast Asia. After starting production at our greenfield factory in Vietnam, Kingspan Phu My, last month, our entry into Thailand marks a new, exciting milestone in our commitment to accelerate a net-zero emissions future and deliver world-class insulated panel solutions for energy-efficient buildings in the region. Our range of high-performance and lower-embodied carbon panel solutions can allow building owners to reduce energy consumption and operational and embodied carbon emissions. Kingspan Ayutthaya will leverage Kingspan’s world-class insulated panels technology, including Kingspan’s latest QuadCore® technology. Insulated panels offer numerous benefits such as quick installation time due to the lightweight and single-component system, high thermal and airtightness values, which can contribute to lower operational carbon for your building. Insulated panels are an ideal alternative to traditional construction methods. We see an increased demand for insulated building envelopes using insulated panels, especially in this part of the world as extreme temperatures reach new extremes and thermal comfort for building occupants becomes ever more important.”
At the event, the Kingspan team provided more details about its products and applications and offered a preview of its plans to further invest in the Kingspan Ayutthaya factory. This includes launching new types of insulated roof and wall panels to address the needs of Thai and Asian markets, such as its latest core technology QuadCoreTM, insulated panels with integrated PV Solar modules PowerPanelTM, lower-embodied carbon panels LEC, and new wall and roof panel profiles. These investments will support the construction needs of project owners, government agencies, state enterprises, private sector companies, and many other stakeholders in the Thai market as well as the wider ASEAN region. Kingspan aims to contribute significantly to Thailand and the wider Asian building sector with its advanced and sustainable solutions on the region's net-zero emissions journey.
