
"Music" plays an important role in driving the new generation. Today, Surat Thani is ready to open its doors to music and art, aiming to develop the skills of the new generation for the international stage. The city aspires to become a music hub, supporting those passionate about music to showcase their potential to Thai people and the world.
Recently, Symphony Group, represented by Ms. Srichan Jingjit, Executive Chairman, and Mr. Kosin Jingjit, Executive Board Member, joined their music partner, Asst. Prof. Wootichai Lertstakit, Dean for Academic Affairs, Faculty of Music, Silpakorn University, to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This agreement focuses on academic cooperation between Symphony Music and Art Company Limited and the Faculty of Music, Silpakorn University, with three main objectives:
- To promote and support the development of learning and teaching, as well as the school's music curriculum.
- To exchange personnel in the field of learning and teaching, and music projects/activities, providing opportunities for local students to meet more artists and professors from the university.
- To be a centre for organising projects/activities that support and promote joint education, including training and academic services for society.
Mr. Sukit Wongchitsukkasem, General Manager of Marketing Symphony Group, remarked on the school's successful 14 years in business. Symphony Music and Art School currently provides music and art education services and is committed to developing knowledge in music and art for youth. This MOU marks an important step towards creating opportunities to develop the music education system for youth, students, and the general public in Surat Thani and nearby provinces. Future plans include expanding the network of music and art schools nationwide, ensuring access to quality music education from knowledgeable teachers. The school will also serve as a centre for testing and evaluating music knowledge standards through the Silpakorn University Music Craftsmanship Certificate examination, covering six major subjects: Classical Music, Jazz Music, Commercial Music, Music and Creative Media, Musical Theatre, and Music Entrepreneurship Education. Additionally, courses in auditory skills, music theory and instrument practice, musical measurement and creative media, and music composition will be provided by qualified teachers from the Faculty of Music, Silpakorn University.
Symphony Music and Art School Surat Thani is an international music school dedicated to nurturing musical talents. The school is fully prepared to drive all types of music projects and activities, ensuring systematic and internationally standardised development of music and art. This initiative aims to provide students in Surat Thani with sustainable music knowledge, supporting their journey to the international stage.
