Mitsubishi Elevator (Thailand) Co., Ltd., known as MET, represented by Mr Katsuya Kawabata, Managing Director, received the Asia Responsible Enterprise Awards (AREA) 2024 in the "Social Empowerment" category. The award recognised their continuous Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, the "Hometown School Development" project. This project exemplifies their commitment to social and environmental responsibility. The awards ceremony took place at the Hilton Saigon Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Mr Katsuya Kawabata, Managing Director of Mitsubishi Elevator (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (MET), expressed, "We are deeply honoured and proud to receive the Asia Responsible Enterprise Awards (AREA) in the 'Social Empowerment' category for our 'Hometown School Development' project. This CSR initiative has provided opportunities for our executives and employees to actively participate in the development of Hometown School, where Mitsubishi provided funding to construct educational facilities such as classrooms, canteens, and recreational buildings. We collaborated with the International Program in Design and Architecture (INDA) of Chulalongkorn University to have students design these school buildings. This award truly owes to a team effort with comprehensive cooperation with Chulalongkorn University, collaborative companies, local schools, and communities."
